Once again, Steve and his pals put together a new album of diverse material. With thirteen new original songs, Steve hits the mark with his own tunes plus co-writes with his usual co-lyricists Gayle Ackroyd, Joanne Ingrassia and Dory Karr. Crossing over from folk to country, good old rock and roll, blues, pop, jazz and tribal rhythms, this album follows the route of his previous endeavours with writing and production levels moving up an extra notch.

Production on this ablum started in early 2002 but when Steve's Shed Studio was destroyed by a devastating fire that year, everything was put on hold. It wasn't until early 2004 that the studio was fully rebuilt and operational and the recording process could resume. Unlike previous projects, this one is mostly a "band effort", with the core Fringe Local band playing live on most of the tunes. The album also features appearances by many talented friends and session players including, Ed Kopala (guitars), Mark Lalama (accordion), Cam MacInnes (guitars), Steve Grisbrook (guitar), Conrad Kipping (fiddle/mandolin), Duncan Fremlin (banjo), Doug Miller (flutes), James Brown (steel drum) and vocalists Gayle Ackroyd, Suzanne Hyatt and Tamica Herod. A bonus medley of Stephen Stills and Stevie Windwood covers rounds out the mix, giving the listener a true indication of how the band grooves in a live situation. A nice touch.
